If you're serious about buying it, then I'll get busy taking it off the car. I'm fine with your price offer. Buyer: Okay, let me know when you'll have it off the car. I'll coordinate the pickup and money exchange when you are ready. Seller: Okay, I'll try ASAP, but it is going to be a PITA to get off. I'll try to hurry. Buyer: I'll be gone most of next week, so I'm just trying to avoid a snafu or problem.... Seller: Well, if you really want it, I'll hold onto it for you for sure. Buyer: Great, sounds like a plan. Just text me when you are ready. A few days later... Buyer: Any update on the exhaust? I can pick it up ASAP. Seller: I'm sorry dude, but someone came by and offered more money. My apologies man.
I sort of saw this coming, so I wasn't entirely shocked. However, I was still pissed. So many people's words and promises are worth squat these days.
